Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to provide data for establishing specialized education and systems for hospital infection management in the swallowing rehabilitation room by identifying the actual status of hospital infection management education of occupational therapists after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods : This study conducted a survey of occupational therapists working in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do from April 1 to April 13, 2022, and analyzed a total of 71 data, excluding 27 of the 98 copies that were collected. Frequency analysis and chi-square cross-analysis were performed using SPSS 25.0.

Results : As a result of this study, when receiving hospital infection management education, hospital medical education was the highest at 78.5%, and video education was the highest at 49.2%. The performance of infection control related to swallowing rehabilitation treatment was lower than that of occupational therapists. In the question about the infection control status, the swallowing rehabilitation room was lower than the occupational therapy room. It was very necessary to ask the necessity of professional infection control education in the swallowing rehabilitation room, and 49.3% was the highest.

Conclusion : After the COVID-19 pandemic, hospital infection management education did not reflect the specificity of swallowing rehabilitation treatment and was found to be not detailed, and the lack of a working institution system seems to have affected satisfaction and performance. In the future, this study will be the basic data that can be used when providing specialized infection control education and establishing a system, including the characteristics and details of swallowing rehabilitation treatment.
